One Year Ago

For whatever reason today, I feel like sharing with you where I was at in my life exactly one year ago today... well, there actually is a reason, but I'm going to make this waaaaaaay more detailed than it needs to be. I felt like taking a stroll down memory lane and just observing where I was at on May 15th, 2007 and compare it to where I am now. Might provide to be interesting, no? Well, I'll wait to see if any of you comment, then I'll know how interesting this really is.

Ok, there's no great format for doing this, so just try to follow along people...

• 5.15.07 - Unemployed, working part-time with Nathan at Bruster's // 5.15.08 - Supervisor at AirTran Airways reservation call center
• 5.15.07 - Finished freshman year of college with an overall 3.8 GPA // 5.15.08 - Finished sophomore year of college with overall 3.9 GPA (raised it .1 over 2 semesters... well, I thought it was cool)
  
• 5.15.07 - Serving on Sharpsburg band playing piano/keyboard every week // 5.15.08 - Leading worship every week at Madras campus with an incredible team that I feel blessed to lead every week
• 5.15.07 - Living with my parents, not really paying for anything other than car responsibilities (gas, insurance) // 5.15.08 - Living alone in Carrollton, self-supported and maintained, and pay for everything myself
• 5.15.07 - Had never left the good 'ol USA // 5.15.08 - Have now traveled to Canada and Mexico (I know, what an amazing accomplishment....)
• 5.15.07 - Atlanta Braves were 25-14 leading the National League East by 1/2 game // 5.15.08 - Atlanta Braves are 20-19 and in 4th place trailing the Florida Marlins by 2 1/2 games
• 5.15.07 - I was still a teenager (19) // 5.15.08 - I'm an old fart now
• HERE'S THE REASON FOR THIS POST... SAVED IT FOR LAST... of course I did, because I'm so dramatic... notice the bold font.
• 5.15.07 - Lacerated my finger while working at Bruster's... here's what it looked like that day...

So, make your own assessment, but I think I've come a long way since 5.15.07. Oh, and sorry for the gross photo of my finger.
