Notes from 3/6

Practice went great tonight - got started a little late with vocal practice, but that was due to some technical issues and some late arrivals ;-) I feel that everyone is ready for Sunday and even though it's a preview service, I really feel like we are prepared and ready to show the people of Madras some awesome music. I am so thankful for all of your dedication and hard work so far, and we haven't even gotten our first Sunday under our belt yet! 3 days to go.

Things to remember from practice...

  1. The prelude will be verse, chorus, verse, chorus, and end on G minor chord.
  2. Remember to check the blog on Monday/Tuesday of each week to get the breakdown for practice.
  3. Vocalists, remember, be a little breathier on all of the verses - since we are singing unison, there's no need to sing quite as powerful, because our voices sound stronger already due to singing only one part. And then you can let it go on the chorus.
  4. It's a garage, so if the weather is on the colder side, remember to dress accordingly!
  5. Sound check for band is at 9:00 AM ; vocalists 9:30 AM
  6. Vocalists, crescendo/decrescendo "Worthy, you are worthy" on Unashamed Love like we talked about. Think about the image... < > Push, pull back.
  7. Band, going straight into Not to Us, let me set the tempo, come in on downbeat of next measure.
I am so pumped for Sunday -- can't wait to see all of you there!

One final thought. If you see Steve or Jenny Baker on Sunday, be sure to thank them for letting us use their garage for practice.
