Breakdown 3/16

Great job this past week everybody! I know there were a few confusing things and not everything went perfectly, but everybody did a great job on the music aspect. The service will only get stronger as we continue to work out the kinks. I could not have been more pleased with the way that you band and vocal members performed though - AWESOME JOB. I'm looking forward to our second preview service this week, as well as Easter in two weeks.

Thanks to everyone this past week who got there early to set up, or who stayed late to take down. You may not think of that as such an important task, but it is! We are very thankful for anyone who can stay and help take down each and every week.

We have a couple new players up this week - Nathan McKnight and Steve Tallman - welcome guys!

Prelude - We Can Work It Out by The Beatles
ENTIRE BAND WILL PLAY THIS SONG
This is acoustic guitar, bass, and drum driven.
Electric guitar player needs to have a clean effect or "bypass" effect.
Drummer needs to keep it simple - snare, kick, closed hi-hat for most of the song.
I will play melody - probably with some type of organ sound.
We will do the entire song - it's only 2:23 min

Song - Majestic
Vocalists - harmony on chorus ; bridge - tenor harmony
Band - Kick straight into the song with all instruments

Song - Your Grace Is Enough
Vocalists - I will sing first verse by myself, come in at "Your grace is enough" ; harmony on pre-chorus, chorus
Electric guitar - learn opening lead riff and walk-up lead line out of the pre-chorus into chorus
Let's try and tie these two songs together well - think about how to transition between them quickly.

Song - What A Good God You've Been
Vocalists - harmony entire song
Band - Do not come in until 3rd verse ; song will be piano, bass, and drums ONLY. Steve and Nathan McKnight, no need to learn this one.

Song - Innocence Lost
Band - NO NEED TO LEARN THIS SONG - ONLY PIANO AND VOCALIST
Katie - You are singing through the first chorus, and then I will play the instrumental solo that comes before the third verse, then the song is over. So you only sing through the chorus and you're done.

Lookin' forward to it. See you Thursday night!
