Breakdown 6/15

Finally back to blogging! I know you're all excited...

Prelude - Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple
No acoustic guitar needed.

Nathan will play melody.

Vocalists - I will sing verse 1, Nathan will sing verse 2, harmony on "Our God is..." and chorus
Band - Play exactly as .mp3 EXCEPT NO ACOUSTIC INTRO
Remember that the intro is a slide from an A to a B and the outro of the Chorus is A-B-E

Song - Forever
Vocalists - Sing entire song. Harmony on "Sing praise..." and chorus
Band - DO NOT PLAY EXACTLY LIKE .MP3
Use the .mp3 as a reference, but we will come up with a more "rockin" version on Thursday night. Start thinking of some ideas, I'm open to suggestions. Mainly, the intro will start with driving over the chorus chords (A-F#m-E-D)(2x)
Electric guitar should learn a riff to play over these chords... be creative. Doesn't have to be fancy, just something that sounds good.

Song - You Are My King
Vocalists - I will sing verses, Andrew will sing harmony. Harmony on chorus and bridge.
Band - Use .mp3 as a good reference, we will play it close to like this.
Start with piano intro, band should come in at "Amazing love, how can it be"
Drums should come in with straight beat and on the ride for first chorus. Closed hi-hat for 2nd verse and open hi-hat for 2nd chorus. We will not bring the bridge "down." We will rock it out, so drums should go to crash cymbal for the "You are my king" part.
Play the chords on the sheet music, even if it does not match up with the .mp3
