I've already mentioned this to a few of you, but all of you need to hear this and make arrangements for the upcoming weeks. I am taking vacation the week of June 1-June 7 (we are leaving after the service on June 1). Therefore, we will not be having the practice which is scheduled for Thursday, June 4th. What we will do instead is have a DOUBLE PRACTICE the week prior on May 29th for the services of June 1 & June 8th. Everyone with me so far? We will be practicing both the June 1 & June 8th services at the May 29th practice... which would've normally only been for the June 1 service.
Because of this update to the practice schedule... I have had to make new arrangements for the band/vocal schedule. I tried to make this easy and keep the same band/vocalists performing these two weeks back-to-back so that everyone doesn't have to attend this double practice.
Here's the new schedule. Please review it and make sure you know which weeks you are performing now.
**Steve & Andrew - you guys are only performing June 8th, but I still need you at the practice on May 29th so we can run that service. Please make arrangements to be there.
So here's how it will work on May 29th... Vocal practice will run from 6:55-7:45 PM because we have a new praise song (Let God Arise) that we will have to learn harmonies on... vocalists you should be learning this song now to prepare. Band practice will run from 7:45 PM to whenever we finish - hopefully before 9:00 PM.
So for the band/vocalists that are performing BOTH weeks, you need to be prepared to practice and perform BOTH weeks on May 29th so I don't have to teach every little part to everybody.
Thanks so much for helping out and being willing to make these changes. I will review this update at practice on Thursday with everyone... but it will also help if everyone can confirm they have read this by commenting.
Thanks guys.
