Breakdown 4/27

Another great job again this week. I know there were several comments about tuning issues, but I really felt that the guitarists sounded great -- however, I am perhaps biased.

Thanks to you guys for being at the meeting - we did have everyone there - so thank you very much to all of you!

One other thing I forgot to mention in the meeting because we did run out of time -- or so we thought...
Practices will be moving to Wednesday night at some point during the summer. This is mainly because of my school schedule in the fall semester -- I will have a class from 5:30-8:00 PM on Thursday nights, and there's absolutely no way that we can have practice on that night. Because of this, I am changing my work schedule, and I will be working Thursday nights soon. Therefore, practice will be moving to Wednesday probably in the middle of May. So please begin now to make accommodations... This, unfortunately, is one of the cons of being led by a college student and I apologize for the inconvenience it may cause to all of you. However, as you know, it's not in my control, because I love Thursday night practice -- that was the night of my choice. I will let you AS SOON AS I KNOW when the change will occur.

But for the week at hand...

Prelude - Spirit In the Sky by Norman Greenbaum
This will be sung either by myself or by Nathan, so no melody will be played.
Entire band will play on this song.
Keep it simple, just like on the .mp3
SONG FLOW: Intro(4x)-Verse1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Outro (End song at 2nd measure, top of page 5 on A major chord -- play straight through except for initial repeats on page 1)

Song - I Will Remember You
Vocalists - Sing entire song, harmony on chorus ONLY.
Band - we will play this a little more electric-driven than the .mp3 which is acoustic-driven
WE WILL START THIS SONG TOGETHER -- ENTIRE BAND PLAYING CHORUS CHORDS
Acoustic Guitar PLEASE NOTE: Capo 2 on this song (Song is in A Major)
SONG FLOW: Chorus-Verse1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus-Chorus-Outro(Chorus Chords)

Song - Let Everything That Has Breath
Vocalists - Harmony on chorus ONLY -- sing entire song
Band - no .mp3 for this song, however... you should know this one.
We all start the song together playing chorus chords.
SONG FLOW: Intro(Chorus Chords)-Chorus-Verse1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Chorus

Song - How Great Is Our God
Vocalists - harmony on chorus and bridge -- sing entire song
Band - no .mp3 for this song either, however... again... 4 chords... come on...
We will play this song in C major -- acoustic guitar -- DO NOT CAPO ON 1 -- PLAY CHORDS IN PARENTHESIS
SONG FLOW: Verse1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Bridge-Bridge-Chorus-Chorus

Easy week. Let's keep it simple and have a easy practice. Thanks for all your hard work already.
